Things are looking up for Without a Trace star Poppy Montgomery. Not only has the show soared to the top five in the Nielsen ratings this summer, she's also getting a storyline destined to make many a girl jealous (including this one).
"I think there's going to be a love triangle," Montgomery dishes. "It's apparently between Jack (Anthony LaPaglia) and Martin (Eric Close) and me. And I'm like, Bring it on, they're both gorgeous!"
So, which one is it? "I think she's in love with Jack, and she's going to use Martin to get over Jack, because she thinks Martin's hot. That would be my guess. I think Samantha's torn about the fact that Jack's going back to his wife."
Montgomery spent her hiatus shooting a CBS film called Raising Wayland with Doris Roberts and playing Tori Spelling's lesbian lover in an indie. She has also watched her show's ratings skyrocket. But of course, the big question is whether the show stays on top when ER returns with new episodes in the fall.
"Oh God, I hope we will carry over," Montgomery says. "I really care about the show so much. I want everyone to see it!"
